DESCRIPTION
Although maybe not as good as it once was the King cruiser wreck is
still a great dive. The once car / passenger ferry went down in 1997
and is eighty metres in length and twenty wide. It
sits on the ocean bed perfectly upright at thirty metres of depth.
The dive is generally to a maximum of twenty four metres unless divers
wish to see the propellers, and the wreck itself has three main levels
with the top being at around twelve metres. Divers once would swim
all the way through the car ferry level, but now it has some what
collapsed with time and any kind of penetration of the wreck must
be done with extreme care and correct procedures.
Hin Musang [shark point] and Anemone Reef are both
reef dives similar to that on our local trips, you will get the chance
to see colorful soft corals, leopard sharks, turtles, moray eels,
cuttle fish gorgonian sea fans and hundreds of species of reef fish.
SCHEDULE
The trip we run is sometimes by speed boat [thirty minutes] but usually
by slow dive boat [eighty mins], and we can schedule it everyday
depending on sea conditions.
Usually we meet at 07:30 and leave at 07:45 and we head for the King
cruiser where we make the first dive. After some lunch on the boat
we then dive Hin Musang [shark point] as dive two, then Anemone Reef
as dive three. However we sometimes do dive three at the local dive
sites as the current can often be very strong at Anemone reef. We
return to our shop between 14:00 and 17:30, depending on which boat
we use and how many dives we make.
Mostly we do a three dive trip, the price for a two dive trip is
for a special two dive trip only.
