SSI SPECIALTY COURSES
For certified divers seeking that little bit more than the normal. 'Specialty' courses give candidates thorough knowledge and experience in a particular field. All specialties are two dives for certification, except deep which is four, and advanced which is five. Some specialties can be combined on the same dives, for example you can do dives on Nitrox with a computer, complete the necessary review questions and underwater tasks, and receive both ratings. Specialty ourses that we offer include Enriched Air Nitrox, Deep, Navigation, Stress and Rescue, Videography, Photography, Wreck, Computer, Advanced Specialty, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Waves Tides and Currents, Night and Limited visibility plus more. Get two specialty ratings and you can be classed as a specialty diver.

SSI ADVANCED ADVENTURER
Advanced adventurer is classed as a specialty, however it is different from the others because it allows you to do just one dive in five different areas. You must complete dives in Deep and Navigation, plus three more areas, altogether giving you five boat dives over two - three days, with a certification that allows you to dive to depths of up to thirty metres.
There are review questions on each area and some tasks to be done during the open water dives.

SSI ENRICHED AIR NITROX SPECIALTY
For those interested in having longer dive times at certain depths, and also diving with a gas mix that is better for your body, leaving you with more energy after diving.

SSI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER
Anytime after open water diver level, when SSI divers have four specialty ratings and have logged atleast 24 dives they may become an ‘SSI Advanced Open Water Diver, which is a true ‘advanced diver’.

SSI MASTER DIVER
Five specialty ratings including Stress and Rescue, plus 50 logged dives gives you SSI’s highest non-professional level.
