PREREQUISITES
Be an SSI Advanced Diver [with stress and rescue rating] / or a PADI
Rescue Diver.
Be over 18 years old.
After
completing the course you will be able to:
Plan and organize dive trips for certified divers.
Lead dives.
Professionally navigate underwater.
Be well prepared for emergency situations.
Assist instructors on teaching dive courses
Conduct some Padi programs
Account for other divers.
Understand dive theory at a high level.
Work in paradise!
THE DIVEMASTER COURSE ITSELF COVERS:
Dive theory [including physics, physiology, equipment,
decompression theory and the RDP,
assisting with student divers in training, dive skills and the
environment, supervising certified
divers and divemaster conducted programs]
Making an emergency assistance plan.
Drawing up a map of a typical local dive site.
Performing an underwater stress test by exchanging equipment whilst
buddy breathing.
Demonstrate all scuba skills at instructor level.
Performing a rescue scenario.
Assisting an instructor on various different courses and programs.
Conducting an actual divemaster conducted program.
SCHEDULE
The duration of the course depends on the experience of
the candidate, however generally the course should be done over
a minimum of four weeks, or a maximum of twelve weeks.
To be certified as a SSI Divecon or Padi divemaster candidates
must have sixty logged dives, so those that enroll with say twenty
logged dives need more time on the course for general diving experience
as well as enough time to make up the required dives.

in terms of duration / payment of the DM course. |
| OPTION 1 |
You pay 32,000 baht for course. Course duration/schedule
will be taken
case by case depending on your preference and experience etc. Total amount
of dives not to exceed thirty. SSI Divecon / Padi divemaster application fee
not included. |
| OPTION 2 |
You do not pay, however you do the course over a minimum
of twelve weeks, and you help in
and around the diveshop for six days in every week. The course content is the
same, but
you will receive more valuable experience because you will be spending more time
here.
No maximum amount of dives, but we will make sure you have atleast enough dives
for
certification. Application fee not included.
